Parliament to Resume Sitting on October 14

Parliament will reconvene on Tuesday, October 14, for the Third Meeting of the First Session of the 9th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

In a notice issued by Speaker Alban Bagbin, the House is expected to commence business at 2:00 p.m. at Parliament House in Accra. The announcement, made pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, officially ends the recess and signals the return of Members of Parliament (MPs) to the chamber.

The upcoming session is expected to focus on key legislative and oversight duties, including government business, committee reports, and other matters of national interest.

The previous meeting ended with intense debates on economic recovery measures and ongoing concerns about public finance management.
