The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed Mr. Charles Akwasi Aidoo, Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academics at KNUST Senior High School, after a viral video allegedly showed him in an inappropriate situation with a female student.
In a statement dated September 29, signed by GES Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, the Service described the incident as a serious breach of professional conduct.
Mr. Aidoo has been relieved of his duties and barred from entering the school premises while investigations continue.
GES assured parents and the public that a full inquiry will be conducted, stressing that any further disciplinary measures will follow its code of conduct.
“The GES remains committed to ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and child protection in all schools. We strongly condemn any behaviour that endangers the safety, dignity, or welfare of students,” the statement said.
The Service reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding students’ welfare and maintaining a safe learning environment nationwide.
