The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has confirmed that a temporary technical disruption has affected some electronic hospital management systems across the country, hindering the processing of claims and verification services in selected healthcare facilities.
In a public notice issued on October 6, 2025, the Authority assured that measures are being taken to restore normal operations and urged all health facilities to continue serving National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) members without interruption.
The NHIA encouraged service providers to use the alternative mobile-based platform to generate Claims Check Codes (CCC) to ensure continuous service delivery amid the challenge.
“NHIS members should not be made to pay out of pocket due to this temporary system issue,” the statement stressed.
The Authority emphasized that access to healthcare must remain unhindered while the issue is being addressed, underscoring that no member should suffer financial inconvenience as a result of the glitch.
Meanwhile, the NHIA said its technical teams, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other partners, are working around the clock to restore full functionality of the system.
It appealed to both healthcare providers and NHIS members to remain patient and cooperative as efforts continue to resolve the situation.
The Authority also expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding and urged anyone experiencing challenges to contact the NHIA Call Centre at 054-444-6447 for assistance.
