The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, widely known as Abronye DC, has officially reacted to a disciplinary summons issued against him by the party.
In a statement released on Tuesday, September 30, Abronye confirmed receiving the summons from the party’s National Disciplinary Committee and pledged to appear before it. However, he further demanded that the entire process be televised live to ensure transparency.
The summons follows a petition to the Committee by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, citing alleged misconduct on the part of Abronye, including public insults and unverified claims said to be harmful to the NPP’s image and internal cohesion.
While agreeing to honour the summons, Abronye also turned the spotlight on fellow party stalwart Kennedy Agyapong, accusing him of actions he described as divisive and damaging.
“I am ready and willing to appear before the Committee to fully expose and justify the anti-Christ conduct and omissions of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, which I believe have weakened the unity and integrity of our party,” his statement read.
He added that since the issue has already been made public, the sittings should equally be held openly and broadcast live. According to him, this would allow the grassroots of the NPP to witness what he describes as Kennedy Agyapong’s “manifest anti-Christ posture” firsthand.
