National Women’s Summit Promotes Opportunities for Female Entrepreneurs

The National Women’s Summit and Expo 2026 has been held in Accra, bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders and policymakers to discuss ways of empowering women in business and entrepreneurship.

The event, organised with the support of major corporate partners including MTN Ghana, focused on mentorship, networking and financial opportunities for women-led businesses. Participants explored strategies for helping women entrepreneurs gain access to funding, training and new markets.

During the summit, organisers introduced initiatives designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises led by women. These include mentorship programmes, insurance support packages and training sessions aimed at strengthening business management skills.

Speakers emphasised that women play a crucial role in Ghana’s economy, noting that they lead a significant portion of the country’s small businesses. Expanding support for women entrepreneurs, they said, could contribute significantly to economic growth and job creation.
