NPP Ballots 2026 Flagbearer Race: Agyapong (1), Bryan Acheampong (2), Bawumia (3), Adutwum (4), and Agyepong (5)

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has conducted its official balloting exercise to determine the positions of its presidential aspirants on the ballot paper ahead of the upcoming presidential primaries slated for January 31, 2026.

In a statement released by the party’s Presidential Elections Committee on October 10, five aspirants were confirmed to be contesting in the flagbearership race. The ballot positions are as follows:

1️. Ken Ohene Agyapong
2️. Dr.  Bryan Acheampong
3️. Dr.  Mahamudu Bawumia
4️. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
5️ Kwabena Agyei Agyepong

The exercise was organized in partnership with officials from the Electoral Commission (EC) to uphold transparency and credibility in the party’s internal electoral process.

The committee, in its statement, extended appreciation to all aspirants, their representatives, and EC officials for their cooperation and orderly conduct during the balloting.

William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to democratic principles and fairness, stating that:

“The New Patriotic Party remains firm in its commitment to a transparent, credible, and peaceful presidential primary as we work towards electing our flagbearer for the 2026 general elections.”

The balloting exercise marks a significant milestone in the NPP’s internal election roadmap, setting the stage for what is expected to be a competitive and closely watched race to determine the party’s next leader.
