World Cup Winner Joachim Löw Poised to Take Black Stars Job

Former Germany coach Joachim Löw is reportedly set to be appointed head coach of the Ghana Black Stars on a short-term deal focused on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Sources say Löw’s contract terms are near finalisation, with a monthly salary around €150,000. The 2014 World Cup-winning manager brings extensive experience after 15 years in charge of Germany national football team, offering tactical expertise and a track record of developing elite talent.

The Black Stars have been without a permanent coach since the dismissal of Otto Addo. With the World Cup opener against Panama scheduled for June 17 in Toronto, the Ghana Football Association is seeking stability and leadership ahead of challenging Group H fixtures against England, Croatia, and Panama.

Löw’s potential appointment is seen as a major coup for Ghanaian football, providing international experience and strategic guidance ahead of the tournament.
