Mampong MP, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, has called on members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party (TESCON) to step up efforts in promoting the party’s ideals and achievements.
Speaking at a meeting with TESCON-MONICO members, he emphasised the role of young people in political engagement and grassroots mobilisation, while commending their contributions to the 2024 elections despite noting some shortcomings.
He also raised concerns about challenges facing students, including rising fees and poor living conditions, and criticised the growing influence of personal connections in graduate postings, calling for fairness and equal opportunity.
Mr Ampratwum-Sarpong urged members to act as ambassadors of the party in their communities and to leverage technology, including artificial intelligence, to support communication efforts. He expressed confidence in the New Patriotic Party’s prospects ahead of the 2028 elections.
