President John Mahama has officially inaugurated the first Free Primary Health Care Health Post at the Dodowa District Hospital in the Greater Accra Region.
During the event, he also inspected a range of logistics set to be distributed to 150 underserved communities, including motorcycles, tricycles, vehicles, and essential medical equipment. He explained that the specially equipped Onuador Vans are designed to deliver critical healthcare services to residents in deprived areas across the country.
The inauguration followed the formal launch of the Free Primary Healthcare Programme at Dodowa. As part of the initiative, the President announced plans to recruit health workers and national service personnel to carry out house-to-house healthcare delivery, aimed at improving access to basic medical services at the community level.
