The prestigious Achimota Golf Club in Accra is set to host the fifth edition of the Head of State Invitational Golf Tournament on Saturday, November 21, 2026.
Launched officially on November 4, 2026, the upcoming tournament will bring together 140 amateur golfers—including international competitors from Nigeria, Burundi, and Kenya—under the theme “Driving National Growth Through Leadership, Partnership and Golf.” Held in honor of President John Dramani Mahama, the event serves as a unique networking platform where policymakers, ministers of state, and corporate executives can engage in high-level discussions outside rigid bureaucratic environments to forge strategic business partnerships and development projects.
Tournament coordinator Francis Andoh emphasized that beyond the competitive greens, the event leverages the Head of State Foundation to champion community outreach and drive youth empowerment through golf. Headlined by First National Bank alongside Gold sponsor BOST Energies and several other corporate partners, the 2026 championship promises an exciting convergence of elite sporting camaraderie and national development advocacy.
