Julius Debrah reaffirms government’s dedication to creating a favourable climate for investment

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has reaffirmed the government’s determination to create an environment that encourages investment, promotes technological innovation, and strengthens partnerships that can drive inclusive economic growth and sustainable prosperity across Africa.

He made the remarks while delivering a speech on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama at the 2026 Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) held in Accra.

The conference, themed “From Borders to Bridges: Driving Intra-African Trade and Development through Energy and Technology Services,” attracted Heads of State, ministers, policymakers, industry leaders, development partners, and other stakeholders from across the continent.

In his address, Mr Debrah stressed the need for stronger regional collaboration, innovation, and integrated infrastructure to help advance Africa’s development goals. He noted that energy and technology are critical to boosting industrialisation, expanding intra-African trade, and positioning the continent for long-term economic transformation in an increasingly competitive global environment.

According to him, discussions at AETC 2026 highlighted the importance of cooperation, shared vision, and strategic partnerships in shaping Africa’s future and connecting opportunities across borders. Mr Debrah also praised the organisers, development partners, industry stakeholders, and participants for contributing to conversations and initiatives aimed at building a more integrated, innovative, and energy-secure Africa.
