Access Bank Ghana partners Deloitte Ghana to strengthen women entrepreneurs with financial skills

Access Bank Ghana, in collaboration with Deloitte Ghana, has organised a Women Business Workshop aimed at equipping female entrepreneurs with practical financial knowledge and strategic tools to help them grow and sustain their businesses.

The programme brought together women business owners who are clients of the bank, creating a platform for expert-led training, peer learning, and discussions on the challenges of operating in a competitive business environment.

Speaking at the event, Bimpe Gisanrin, Head of Women Banking for Access Bank African subsidiaries, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting women-led enterprises beyond traditional banking services. She explained that while access to funding is important, many women entrepreneurs struggle with financial literacy and strategic planning, which limits their ability to scale. According to her, the workshop was designed to address these gaps by offering practical guidance on financial management, business structure, and long-term growth planning.

She added that the initiative reflects the bank’s deliberate approach to empowering women through capacity-building programmes that strengthen their decision-making and business resilience. Facilitators from Deloitte Ghana led sessions on financial management, risk assessment, and strategic planning, giving participants tools to better position their businesses for expansion and attract investment.

The workshop also encouraged participants to share their experiences and challenges, promoting peer learning and collaborative problem-solving among the entrepreneurs. The initiative forms part of Access Bank Ghana’s broader strategy to support women entrepreneurs and strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises across the country through financial inclusion and capacity development.
