Education Minister Calls for Thorough Probe into Death of UCC Student

Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and has directed that a comprehensive investigation be carried out to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In a statement, the Minister extended his condolences to the bereaved family, the university community, and all those affected by the tragic loss. He stressed the need for a transparent and exhaustive inquiry to establish the facts and ensure accountability.

Mr. Iddrisu indicated that every effort must be made to uncover the truth and provide answers to the family and the public. He further assured that the Ministry of Education would closely monitor the investigation and collaborate with the appropriate authorities to ensure justice is served.

The Minister also called on students and members of the public to remain calm and allow the investigative processes to proceed without interference.

The death of the student has sparked widespread concern, with both the university and law enforcement agencies undertaking separate inquiries into the matter.
